Etymology - The name Kuroda, written "黒田", denotes to an old field. It is a habitational name taken from many locations throughout Japan and is mainly found in western Japan and the island of Okinawa. Shiori (詩織) means "poem," and "weave" . Her birth surname is named after the surname name of Hirai Yasumasa, a fictional character from the historical fantasy novel Teito Monogatari, who is the direct descendant of Abe no Seimei, and leads the Tsuchimikado clan.
Bio.
Unlike most children in Yomi (黄泉), Shiori was born between human parents, raised with love alongside the Yokai population until the tragedy at the age of five years old. After the death of her parents, Shiori is taken in and raised by a kitsune man named Ren, and grows up following his and her parents' footsteps of becoming a Yokai incident investigator, as well as a Yokai incident defense attorney herself.Shiori had a friend— A boy, named Inoue, who studied under the tutelage of Ren. The two grew up together and were inseperable, solving cases together from a young age and exploring the places they shouldn't have been. Through one unrelated investigation, Shiori received a curse mark— an old one, tough to remove. Very quickly, they were dragged into the throes of the old M school, while Shiori's soul was taken from her body, Inoue searched for a way to save her from being consumed by the yokai.When Shiori awoke, she was outside of M school alone, with only her father there, worried beyond belief. Her memories had been scrambled, but the mark was gone— perhaps whatever Inoue did had broken the curse, but the price... was his future.
The single, sealed box covered in talismans and red thread is strapped to her back. Perhaps in repentance, or perhaps in guilt, but Shiori dedicates her life to vanquishing the yokai that is sealed inside.
